Green River Adventure Sports was conceived in a one stall garage by owner B J Fenwick in 1989. Within the first six months, the company relocated to larger quarters in Amboy’s industrial zone. Now at its fifth location in Dixon, Illinois, Green River Adventure Sports has gained renown recognition for its expertise in bicycle maintenance and repair.
Green River Adventure Sports' reputation extends beyond Dixon, however. Our customer base includes clients residing in nearly every state in the United States, as well as Asia, Austrailia, Europe and South America.
Green River Adventure Sports proudly provides limited sponsorship to local triathletes and mountain bike competitors, and participates in bicycle awareness within surrounding communities. Green River Adventure Sports has been initial sponsor of several national and international level sports riders, and is title sponsor of the Ronald Reagan Heritage Bicycle Ride and the downtown Dixon Ronald Reagan Ctrerium.

The Wrench and Bottle Washer -
B J Fenwick, owner of Green River Adventure Sports, is a native of Dixon, Illinois. B J presently lives in Sterling, Illinois with his wife, Pam and grandson, Makavias. He served abroad (Europe and Asia) during most of his nearly 24 year career in the US Army. B J is an active member of League of Illinois Bicyclists, League of American Bicyclists, National Bicycle Dealers Association, a charter member of Rock River Valley Bicycle Club and several local community organizations. He completed studies in bicycle mechanics as well as bicycle rider fit theory and technology at Barnett’s Bicycle Institute, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He continually participates in seminars to improve his proficiency in bicycling and kayaking technologies.
In addition to bicycling, BJ enjoys running, kayaking, hiking, camping and cross country skiing. He is learning to listen to light jazz and blues. B J is an avid reader, plays chess and endevors to become a better cook.

| Customer Policies
We expect payment at time of service. Occasionally we may ask for a deposit prior to commencing repairs or for a special order. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards (Discover, Mastercard or Visa), or electronic, e-mail payment via Paypal. We gladly make refunds or exchanges for new equipment in new condition with presentation of your sales receipt.
